May Message from the Board

Only 30 days to go! Are you excited to see what the market will look like this year?

We hope you are well. Enumclaw Plateau Farmers’ Market is scheduled to begin in June and run through September.

Our permits have been submitted to the City of Enumclaw and Public Health–Seattle & King County, including our COVID-19 Safety Plan and maps.

The market layout this year will have a different look, with a single row of vendors down the center of the street. The side closest to Tractor Supply will be a drive-through lane for only customers who have pre-ordered. The side closest to the Enumclaw Library will be a walk-through market, with the north end as the entrance and south end (Griffin Ave.) as the exit. All traffic, both drive-through and foot traffic will be one direction. Please see the following for more specific information:

Some basic items to keep in mind for starting the 2020 season:

  • A temporary hand-washing station, paper towels and sanitizers will be required in every vendor booth.
  • Sampling of products will not be allowed.
  • Vendors will only be selling items that are considered part of an essential business as defined by Governor Inslee’s order. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
  • Entertainment and other non-essential services are excluded at this time. We will bring these back when the restrictions are lifted.

All of the above is subject to change potentially week-to-week.

Look for our vendor links to be posted soon for placing pre-orders. We will be liking/commenting/sharing about them when possible.

The health and safety of our customers, vendors and volunteers are our top priority.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this rapidly evolving environment.

We look forward to seeing you at the market this summer. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,

Your Enumclaw Plateau Farmers’ Market Board of Directors:

President Lisa Smith
Secretary Lance Smith
Joyce Behrendt
Wendy Burdette
Market Manager Liz Clark

Week 14 – The Bounty Of Fall Is Upon Us

We had a great week on September 5 celebrating Kasey Kahne Day. Kasey’s dad Kelly brought Kasey’s first race car to market and Marilyn from CC’s on Cole loaned us Flat Kasey for selfie and photo opportunities.

School is back in session and fall sports are also in full effect. The market is just now hitting the peak of harvest season. The farmers on the plateau are bringing the best products ever for our final weeks. And we are gearing up for a big market celebration on September 26th. We have a chef demo, kids’ scavenger hunt and more fantastic live music planned for the last market day of 2019.

If you are interested in helping out with setup, load out or other market activities in these final weeks, please reach out to the Board. The days are getting shorter, so load out help after market is closed at 7:00pm is especially needed right now.
